This book covers exhaustive information about bio and phytoremediation of cadmium toxicity on Medicago sativa L. using Biochar as a biosorbent, Rhizobia and Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi as biofertilizers. In a pot experiment, cadmium (Cd) was applied at 1 mM in presence and absence of treatments to investigate their ability to alleviate the harmful effect of Cd and enhance growth of Medicago sativa L. growth criteria, enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants, minerals, growth hormones and yield were measured under Cd stress. Biochar was most effective treatment not only alleviated Cd toxicity but also increased soil fertility, plant growth and yield.
